Whats the point of judgement day??? Pretty stupid idea.?

I mean, the whole point of judgement day is that we all die and the good are sorted out from the bad and sent to heaven. ISNT THT GONNA HAPPEN ANYWAY? I mean, we all die, we all get judged by god, we all go to hell or heaven ANYWAY... and wadabout all the people who have alredy died? I mean its not like theyll notice anything... Im just saying, all the christians are waiting for judgement day so that jesus will come save them, but why dont they just have a little patience and wait till they die and then get saved? It just seems like a stupid idea...
