Manna vs. Eucharist?

The manna that came down from Heaven to the Jews sustained their bodies,in this earthly life. It could not and did not give everlasting life in Heaven. Christ told us clearly that He was the living bread come down from Heaven, whoever ate His flesh and drank his blood would have everlasting life. His flesh is real food and His blood is real drink He told us. This teaching was literal and so hard for the Jews to accept that almost all of his followers left him at that point. He did not tell them it was a parable,or try to soften the impact of his statement. He asked the Apostles if they would leave too. They said to Him no Lord, for you have the way to everlasting life. This is what the Eucharist is, the body blood soul and divinity of our Lord served up to the faithful at every m.
